These plant dyed sustainable bags are soon available in Australia

Dramatic light at home and a lovely order in soft hues resting on the table, dyed with rhododendron leaves, avocado skins and madder root. Botanical dyes are just the prettiest and they’re so rewarding to work with.

For this order I stamped every color with a different imprint and I think this is what I’m also going to do for my next shop update. If you’re new here you might not know that yet - I used to stamp every single bag with fresh leaves in the past. But now that my business scaled up slightly I have a different process.

I first stamped fresh plants I collected by hand onto paper. Then I scanned them and cleaned up the image in photoshop. Next step was ordering big wedged wood+rubber stamps.

Using fresh plants for printing multiple bags wouldn’t be feasible nor ecological in a long term. By using my custom stamps every bag is printed with botanical imprint mirroring a real plant. I have three imprints available at the moment made with 3 lovely plants, all from my local park: ferns, ligustrum and lavender 🌱
