How to warp a frame loom with a heddle bar
There are many ways to warp a frame loom but this is how I do it - I published it as a post on my blog. A lot of my customers on Etsy keep asking me for weaving resources so I prepared some for them.
This loom is a game changer when it comes to warping because it allows you to control the tension even after it’s warped. You can control the position of both top and bottom warp bar by using metal nods on the sides. The loom is coming with a heddle bar too, which makes weaving so much faster (and by faster I mean it’s still the slowest craft ever 😁), by creating an opening in the warp for you. It’s produced locally by a German woodwork company and I’m happy to be able to stock it in my shop. These are the looms I work on, tested enough times to say that they’re the best.
I’m thinking are there any more resources you would need? There is one that I’ve planned already - Weaving a long scarf on a frame loom - and I’m excited to start working on it. If there’s anything else you’d like me to cover, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help you catch the weaving bug ➿〰️➿〰️
