How to make colors using plants: acorns, madder and woad dyed bags from Berlin

New bags again, because I’m busy working through all the lovely wholesale orders. These 4 colors will be available at @thecraftivistatl as soon as they make their journey through the pond. Scroll down to read about the dye stuff I used. Thank you The Craftivist for becoming a stockist, I’m thrilled to send these to you!

There are no more wholesale slots available until the end of July for now. I’m thinking about growing my team to be able to serve more clients but for now I’ll have to take it slower. I’m currently looking for a studio assistant to help me out so if you’d like to apply please go to www.kaliko.co/jobs

The bags in the photo were dyed with (left to right): acorns + iron, madder root + al. acetate, organic woad vat, madder root + soy milk. They are made with organic cotton canvas which takes up the dyes beautifully and lined with natural linen. Handles are made of hemp and the drawstrings are linen ropes.
