Dyeing silk bandanas with plants - bundle dyeing and solid colors

How lovely and warm and sunny are these plant colors on silk! After a long search I finally found a partner who is able to supply me with peace silk bandanas and I’m excited about all the colors I can dye them with.
.
Peace silk is cruelty free silk produced without killing silk worms in the process. Conventional silk uses silk cocoons while the worms are still inside and boiling them up. You can see why I’m excited about these peace silk scarves, right? They’re cut and finished locally, close to Berlin, too.
.
Now the dilemma - solid colors or bundle dyed splattered version? The one on the left was dyed with goldenrod and a tiny bit of madder for this lush golden shade, the one on the right was bundle dyed with madder and marigold and steamed and then bundled again and boiled. They look so perfect together that I will need a lot of time to decide, as I only have 15 pieces to play with 💔 not sure if I’ll be able to choose one before Christmas...
.
And just very shortly, once we’re at it - remember that I’m based in Berlin so if you’re ordering from overseas please don’t wait until December as it might be too late!
